Black IPA Bacon


Tonight I started marinating some bacon for my Bacon BBQ this coming Saturday. I tried this first a few weeks back and loved it so much I decided to do it again with a twist, 21st Amendment’s Back in Black IPA. I am very curious as to how this will turn out honestly. As I am sure you all know a black IPA is a whole other beast of its own. This particular black IPA is true to the IPA style with an added mild maltiness and lighter dark roast flavor (it’s an IPA and Stout that had a baby). I will add that this time around I am marinating the bacon for 72 hours roughly where as last time it was less then 24.

If you are so inclined to try this the recipe is simple:

1 lb of Bacon (I used local grown butcher shop not the mass produced store bought) Add to a container large enough to hold the bacon and follow with 12 ounces of your favorite beer

I’ll do a follow up post this sunday after the festivities to let you know how it turned out!
