Craft Draft Brewfest Gahanna
Craft Draft Brewfest Gahanna

Of course, as one event comes up, there are certain to be more to follow. So we have, shortly after Maifest, the Gahanna Brewfest on May 24th (warning, Flash website, so don’t bother on your phone!). I’ll do you a favor and break down the site in this article.

The Beer:

The Gahanna Brewfest will feature 11 Ohio breweries pouring more than 30 different craft beers. If their flash site is any true indication, it shows:

The Benefit:

Part of the proceeds will go to Ohio CASA/GAL “Court Appointed Special Advocate,” a nonprofit organization helping abused and neglected children through the court system.

Attendance:

The most important part: attendance is limited to 500. Get your tickets now.

Tickets:

Tickets are available for $45, which includes 25 beer samples and an 8 oz. souvenir glass mug. VIP tickets, which also include food from sponsor Local Cantina and rare beers from sponsor Crafted Drafts beer store, are available for $65Tickets can be purchased in advance at http://gahannabrewfest.com, at Local Cantina Gahanna, Crafted Drafts and Buckeye BrewCraft, or the day of the event at the door (cash only). They also have “Designated Driver” tickets for $20. I’m not sure what that gets you (oh, ninja edit, a koozy, water, and much love from the drunk people).

The Where:

Local Cantina, 101 Mill St. Suite 100, Gahanna, OH 43230. (Google maps is the best (true dat))

The When:

VIPs like me, get in at 6:30pm. You slow pokes can come in at 7:30pm, and we can talk beer until 10:30pm. I had to *hunt* for the Facebook Event, but share it loud and proud and join us for some beer! Prost! -Keith
